I was first licensed as WN4RWG in 1964, with the help of my best friends father, Forest Bahr, K4SEE (SK), and I have enjoyed the hobby ever since. I joined the U.S. Navy in 1969, and was honorably discharged as an AT2 in 1973. I truly enjoyed my time in the navy. Funny thing is in my four year navy career, I never got near a ship or the ocean! I was stationed at Naval Air Stations the whole time. I have worked in the electronics field ever since leaving the navy, and really never looked back, it has been a rewarding path, pretty much thanks to Ham radio. I am presently employed by L3 corp. as an RF test technician, in their local FAA repair station. I am certified in SMT and fine pitch soldering, and hold a FCC 1st class license with radar endorsement. I have also worked at Bendix, AlliedSignal, and Honeywell Corporation, as an electronics technician. I enjoy building, and fiddling around with hamfest goodies that at the time, I just can’t seem pass up. I get a kick out of qrp, which gives me just about an endless list of things to build and mess around with. CW is about all I do with just a little SSB thrown in to justify owning a microphone. If we just had a qso, and it was a little short lived, please forgive me as I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my sending hand. If I stay on the key too long, my hand goes to sleep and my sending goes down hill fast.. My FISTS number is 11855, NAQCC 0941, SKCC 4820, QRPARCI 13541. I do hope to work u agn soon, and am looking forward to it. Your friend in ham radio, Bill AB4KH
