Favorite Mode(s): SSB and CW I earned my first license in the late 80's and upgraded to Extra class in the early 90's, can't really remember the dates, I was very active working DX and trying to confirm all the countries I worked with QSL's & Green Stamps got to be very expensive.. I went QRT for a stint while doing other things and getting married. Then while on vacation in July of 2005 I dug out my radio gear and built my dipole and got back on the air. The DX bug bit again and being at my new QTH I have started working to get my country total back up. I managed to work the Peter Island Dxpedition on 2006. I QSL 100% on all received QSL's and when I work a DXpedition or have a Good QSO with someone. I am not DXing for a Wall Certificate or Plaque , just for my own Enjoyment!! I also enjoy working in the different contests at times to increase my country total and pass out points for the competitors. I may one day decide to start competing in them again but have not yet. I used to love working the VHF/UHF contests back in the day. I just recently started working 2 Meter FM/CW with a local ham buddy, we hope to generate some interest from others listening to us rag chew on the repeater. I am a Georgia Certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, I also manage the Industrial Pretreatment Program and FOG (Fats,Oils,Grease) Program were I work. I am a member of the local radio club "Toccoa Amateur Radio Society" and usually monitor our 2 meter repeater 145.250 Mhz with a PL tone of 71.9. If you are ever in the area give me a call. The Club Callsign is K4TRS for Field Day and Special Events, it can be looked up here on QRZ'd and a link to our web site is there. Thanks and 73 de AD4HI
