I go by Phil.  I was first licensed in August 2007, but I didn't start in HF until December 2008.  I'm running an Icom IC-718 into a G5RV at 21 meters (63 feet).  Because of my small lot, I have the elements at 90 degrees to each other.  I also use an LDG AT-100Pro tuner and a Signalink.

I lived in the Netherlands (ik was bij Fliegbasis Soesterberg gestationeerd) from 1979 - 1981 and in the Eifel region of Germany from 1989 - 1993, so I'm especially interested in talking to hams in those areas.

I'm currently working on my basic WAS on the Geratol net and having fun talking to folks all over.  Please check out the Geratol net if you haven't before.  They are a fine, helpful bunch of hams.  They're on 3.668 +- every day at 0100Z from October to April.

My other hobbies include kayaking, pistol shooting, SWL, and geocaching.  I hope to have a QSO with you soon!
