I started in Ham radio in the 60's while in the USAF. Worked with MARS while I was stationed in England, and was one of the first American's to receive an English G5 call sign.

I got busy in the 70's trying to get rich (failed on that)and let the ticket expire.

I finally got interested again in the mid 90's but due to some head problems I was unable to get my speed back up to 13wpm. I guess FCC felt sorry for me and droped the requirements to 5 wpm just for me.

I now have my Extra ticket. I enjoy SSB on HF and PSK31. My XYL holds a General class ticket KG4IWR. We both are active in Skywarn, and are both VE's. If you hear me give me a shout.
