I have been a ham since 1992 (kd6ire) and have be primarly working satellites. Recently I added a 2 element SteppIR +40M antenna and have become active on HF. Here are a couple of pictures of the station and the new antenna.

My primary HF station is a Kenwood TS-2000x computer connected via a MicroHam MicroKeyer II. The MK2 also controls the new KPA500 amp and the Steppir antenna. The antennas are 2 ele+40 Steppir, 30 ele cir. 435mhz M2, 22 ele. cir 145mhz M2, 23 ele. 1.2ghz M2. Tracking is controlled by a TAPR TrakBox Turbo and a Yaesu G5400B AZ/EL rotor. The tower is normally at 35' and there is a VHF/UHF Triband verticle above the other antennas.

I am usually listening to 1285.000mhz in the San Jose area and this system includes an IRLP (7670) and Echolink (W6RLW) node. Individual Echolink access is controlled but open to those who request access via email to me.

I am a member of the NCDXC and enjoy learning new techniques and operating tips. I really like trying new hardware and computer equipnemt. Hope to connect with you on the radio.

73, Don

Here is a look at the latest Radio Stack and the new Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier. Indicating 240 watts and 1:1 swr on 20M.
