Thank you for working me as D44TEG and for your patience during the pile ups! It was my first dxpedition and especially at the beginning a great challenge. But nevertheless it was an excellent training for the handling of CW pile-ups.

Our B&B was located about 200m from the beach in the city of Tarrafal (Sao Tiago Island, AF-005). Many pedestrians were asking about my antena: „what is that ?“ or „can I help you ?“ or „is that a water-prospecting device ? “.

My equipment was a K3 / 100W trx and triple leg antennas for the 10,12, 15, 17 and 20m bands on a 15m fiberglass pole fed by 50 Ohm Koax.
