preparing a longer stay in EA8, will operate on 14.260 kc/s up/down 5 kc/s and on 6 m.

QTH: JN59ph

Hallo I am Wolf and I operate from the northern part of Bavaria near Nuernberg.
My special interest in Ham Radio are the radio propagations in frequencies higher then 20 Mc/s, and also interested inRadio Astronomy in the low frequencies up to 300 Mc/s [Sun, Jupiter and so on].
I am interested also in IOTA and the history of these islands.

I work with a FT 897 or an a FT 757 GX transceiver both with about 100 W. As antenna I have several long wire antennas, a small beam and several monoband antennas up to 70 cm. Since some weeks I operate on 6 meters with a 4 over 4 element antenna about 15 m high. Here are my special interest in TEP and Es propagations.

For 160 m and lower frequencies [472 kc/s and 136 kc/s] I operate with a homebuild transceiver with only 5 or 10 w. Here I am using a longwire antenna about 2 x 100 m. My frist QSO on 472 kc/s [630 m Band] was with DL about 150 km !

60m: The 5 Mc area is one of the most interesting bands in the SW. Since some times I observed here stations from the UK, SM, LA, OZ and also from the USA and from Canada. I observed these frequencies with a loop-antenna or a long wire but also with an active vertical antenna. My receiver is here a FT-757GX or an IC-R72. Ham Radio activity is here on some small channels like 3511 in SM, 5380 +- in G; 5403 +- also in US and Canada. From time to time am I am on 5403 and 5380 kc stand by.

The signal of the German DRA5 beacon on 5195 kc/s is written 24 hours each day for propagation experiments, also the British 5290.0 kc/s frequency [GB3RAL, GB3ORK, GB3MWES Beacons] will be wirtten all the times.

Here in DL wemust hope that these interesting band will be opened for amateur radio activity. Till that time I am interested in crossband QSO [40 to 60 m, or 20 to 60 m].

So I wish anybody good DX and hope for a Corssband QSO [write to dc3mf@gmx.de]

73 Wolf, DC3MF
