I have been licensed in 2002 and I'm mostly interested in the bands above shortwave. I prefer the modes FSK441, PSK2k, JT65a/b, WSJT, EME, CW, SSB.
In 2010 I moved to JN68NL because it was cheap and the house has great capabilities. But the QTH is located in a valley... Call me crazy, but I installed a 2m antenna yagi and worked over 1500km on tropo from the most worst location I have ever had!!!
Setup / Equipment:
HF: Rig: FT-DX3000 Ant: 2x22m Dipole, symmetric tuned by the SGC-239 tuner. 6m: Rig: FT-DX3000 Ant: 3 Ele. Yagi (DUAL) 4m: Rig: Ukrainian Transverter, 10W max & FT-DX3000 Ant: 4 Ele. Yagi (DUAL) 2m: Rig: SSB LT2S Transverter, LDMOSFET PA 1kw max. 17 element Tonna F9FT Yagi
Main rigs is the Yaesu FT-DX3000 for all modes and bands.
For SW listening on the bedside table, I use a Kenwood R600 (0.1 - 30MHz SSB/AM)
