I have been licensed in 2002 and I'm mostly interested in Contesting above 144MHz and SDR. I prefer the modes PSK31, FSK441, PSK2k, JT65a/b, WSJT, EME, CW, SSB.

In 2010 I moved to JN68NL becuase it was cheap and the house has great capabilities. But the QTH is located in a valley... Call me crazy, but I installed a 2m antenna yagi and worked over 1500km on tropo from the most worst location I have ever had!!!

My HF antenna there is a Kelemen trap antenna for 160m, 80m, 40m and 30m.

On 2m I run a 17 element Tonna F9FT Yagi with HA8ET Preamp and 750W max. Output Self-build SSPA LDMOSFET.

Main rigs are Yaesu FT-DX3000 with SSB LT2S Transverter, Yaesu FT-857D (TXCO/300HZ filter), FT-290R.
For SW listening on the bedside table, I use a Kenwood R600 (0.1 - 30MHz SSB/AM)

I use UcxLog for any kind of QSO logging.

The uWSDR project:

Together with G4KLX, G8UBN, VK3AVM, VK6APH et al we started a open SDR platform for frequencies above 30MHz.

Here is the first picture of the front end prorotype for 50-1300 MHz. (Rx+Tx, 100mW output)

LO: LMX2581, IQ-Demodulator: ADL5387, IQ-Modulator: LT5598. IQ (IF) Output 2Vpp max. symmetrical
