I received my licence in 1966, starting with 50 W in CW and AM. My focus is on DX and Contesting. My Contestcall is DA0I

My favourite mode is CW, beside this I have a microphone and chase also newones in RTTY.

I worked as G5DZG (1981), HB0/DK1II (1970ties and 80ties, V5/DK1II, ZL2III, ZL7II, 3D2II, YJ0AII

During my time in New Zealand from 2001 - 2004 I had the pleasure to join the Quartz Hill Group and be part of ZL6QH

Today I live in Lingen/Ems in North West Germany on the country side:

I use at home in contests the call DA0I,

I activated DA0OIL in memory of 100 years offshore oil and gas

Further hobbies are riding on Icelandic horses, travelling and last but not least my profession as geologist working on oil and gas exploration projects (www.herzford-international.de)
