Weinheim is a scenic city in the southwestern part of Germany, near Heidelberg. Rolling hills, castles, exotic forest, parks and vineyards are typical of the Bergstrasse Hills whose centre is the town of Weinheim. Two castles, the romantic Market Square, greens, parks and gardens.

Since 1955 Weinheim is the venue of the famous ”Weinheimer UKW Tagung” (Weinheim VHF Convention). This well renowned german amateur radio conference is held every year in mid September. With lectures covering a broad spectrum of amateur radio technology, HAM-fest, a trade fair and a flea market for amateur radio goods.
