My biography is at ZL1AAO.

Direct QSLs should be sent to ZL1AAO. Please SAE and $2 US. (Sorry no more IRC accepted November 2012)

This callsign was first activated from 19th August 2011 for 10 days. It was a holiday type operation and I was operational SSB only 40-10m. Rx/Tx Kenwood TS570D 100w to Dipole or 1/4 wave GP antennas. LOTW. EQSL and Direct. Bureau cards are ok via ZL1AAO. The log was uploaded when I returned home.

Just got home 29/08/11 04.00z and had a great time. Sept 2011 Got my QSL cards produced. My log completed and uploaded to EQSL and LOTW. Thanks to all for the 432 QSOs with 47 DXCC Entities.

Break down of QSOs as follows:- 40m-14, 20m-297, 17m-22, 15m-78, 12m-6 and 10m-15.

Top countries:- USA-70, Germany-39, Italy-39, England-15, New Zealand-13 and France-10.

Thank you again for working me and hopefully you are happy to have South Cook Islands confirmed in your logbook!

May 2013.

Kavera village, Rarotonga. My second visit to Rarotonga. Contacts were logged between 5/5/13 and 18/5/13.

I operated holiday style when and if I could.

Yeasu FT857D and LDG AT100 pro autotuner. Most QSOs were made on the Zep dipole. 65ft centre fed 300 ohm ribbon to 4:1 balun then RG58 coax to tuner. Antenna height was approx 32ft. SSB only between 40m and 10m including WRAC bands.(40m was a real struggle with local noise S8-9!)

I have begun sending out direct cards and eQSL is all go. At present awaiting a new certificate for LOTW and then I will post my log. 392 QSOs. 50 DXCC entities worked + Jeanne on Nereida KC2IOV/mm.(She was East of Tuvalu)

Check this amazing woman out! http://www.synereida.livejournal.com

Thanks for all the QSOs. Hopefully I made somebodys day with South Cook Islands being new DXCC for them!

73s and Good DXing
