We set off from Cyprus on the 7th of December land in Manchester and stay over night, fly down to Heathrow then stay for the day we fly out to LA quick change over then to Raratonga where we collect the Licence board another plane to Aitutaki putup antennas and CQ.

The dxpedition started 10th December 2012 until the 4th January 2013.

I will be travelling with my family for our Xmas holidays.

Hams will operate from one of the Lodges which will be used as a dedicated ham shack.

When we leave we will not be taking the antennas with us so all antennas covering the 10 bands (6-160m) will stay at the lodge for anyone staying at Ginas Garden Lodges.

The garden is more than 85m East west, 100m North South, tall Palm trees ideal for the 160m Inverted L and 80m Dipole.

An IC-7000 when not in use will be in beacon mode on 6m sending E51E/B BH01CC SMS (to be arranged) please sms if heard or spot on cluster and I will operate on 6m when band is open

I have purchased Gary ZL2IFB's old A3S for 10/15/20m he has shipped it to the Island for me and it has arrived on site ready for installation.

HF2V for 40/80m has arrived on site ready for installation

A Vertical will be used for 30m.

The main radio used is a IC-7000, the amp will have the full legal power of 400 watts

The psk31/rtty radio is an FT-857D.

4 element for 12m built from spare parts from a 4e 11m antenna, with the help of Kevin G0SXC via email. (picture top right)

I made a dipole for 80m.

I will operate SSB FM RTTY PSK31/63/125 MFSK16 to start.

I will do some slow CW, pse try to send call twice when I do not get it first time.

I will be building all antennas on site with family so as new antennas are made new bands can be used.
