About me

I started in the world of radio in Citizens Band in my town of Torre del Mar (Málaga) about 1981.

In 1994, in Tenerife (Canary Islands), where I lived at the time, got diplomas while Class C and B.

My first callsign was EB8CNI and my first radio station was a walkie 2m. Alinco DJ-F1 with a vertical base dual-band V / UHF Maldol antenna. At the same time I started making contacts on HF from the radio station EA8URT (Tenerife URE).

In 1995 I passed the class A exam and I got the new license with the callsign EA8AVF I held until 2000 when I changed one of the 7th district (EA7EYF) to move the family home to Sevilla. But for various reasons I left the radio at the end of that year and gave low license.

In late 2012 I became interested again in the world of amateur radio so in early 2013 I applied for a new license and assigned my current callsign: EA7JOY.

I am currently a member of URE in its headquarters in Seville (EA7URS).

Usually I work in phone (SSB, FM) and digital modes like RTTY, PSK, JT65 and ROS.

In addition to the radio, I have many other hobbies including notably Photography, specializing in theme settings, fittings, etc. for Digital Photography High Quality. I use this experience to design Diplomas, QSL cards, etc. which is another topic that fascinates me:
