Hello and thanks for visiting my page!
My name is Stéphane (Steph) Collas. On July 4, 1969, I was born in Paris, where I currently live in the 12th district.
The President of the United States gives a great party for this reason, every year (of course just kidding)…
I am an avid QRPer and a CW-only Operator!
I hate contests and 5NN QSOs! I like to ragchew, and feel that it is more important to learn about the operators.
On the picture above on the Right, my little family, Steph, F5NZY, Maëlle and Olivia.
Our daughter Maëlle is very active in sports (judo, swimming pool, rock climbing, archery and skiing, plus classic and modern dance).
We also have a beloved cat named Selkis, and Andy, a German shepherd dog.
What is this CW code?
I own several transceivers, including the IC756Pro and IC756Pro3, but most often I use the KX3 that my YL got me for Christmas 2014.
I really like it, and my next transceiver will probably be the K3.
I use a Begali Signature Edition paddle, but I also like to come back to my Faithful Bencher, BY1.
My Hexbeam, in Normandy:
Four Ham Radio Operators who are very important for me (alphabetically):
F2MA, Andy is my Elmer, and for me, he is the best CW operator from France.
F3ET, Paul, with XYL Monique (you can see Paul's very interesting page on QRZ.COM).
John, N3AM. I am lucky enough to be John’s first sponsor for FOC.
And Jim, N3JT, who sponsored me for the FOC, with his wife, Nina (KE4PSV).
I would like dedicate this page to very close Friends: G3ZWH (FOC) Doug, F2WL Pierre.
If you are a new QSO, or a new band QSO, you will receive my QSL via direct or via bureau:
Thanks again to visiting my page!
73/72 and looking forward to hearing you soon!
I am proud member of:
FOC #1737, G-QRP #5778, UFT #424, CWops #1528, QRP-ARCI #12888, A1-Op, REF, RSGB, ARRL.
