First licensed as G3VCV in 1966. Started as an R.A.F comms technician (Airborne equipments) then retrained as Aircrew in the Electronics branch on Maritime Patrol Aircraft (Shackleton MK III). Ended up in the Electronic Warfare world flying on Comet2 and Nimrod R1 Aircraft. On leaving the R.A.F, I worked in industry then decided retirement looked good so packed up and came to live in Provence (lavender and vineyards).

Interests are all aspects of communications, antenna design and construction and renovating old equipments. Currently have a Drake TR4 on the bench plus a couple of AR88D's awaiting some attention. Other interests are Photography, now digital and winter sports.
