DISASTER STRIKES AT F8FAZ !!!

On 15 January the PC gremlins took over at F8FAZ's computer and all the data
on the hard disk was lost! Although Laurent engaged a special disaster
recovery expert, his logbook has been irretrievably lost. Gone for ever ! He
worked some excellent expeditions in January and February but all the
contact data has gone. If you worked Laurent from 15 January to 19 February,
please give him the contact details by email. Same for the expeditions too.
If you are a member or the QSL manager for any of the recent big DXpeditions
Laurent would like to hear from you so that his log book can be rebuilt.
Laurent promises to buy every ham in the world a glass of wine or beer if he
does not use strict back-up procedures in future !!!

  • Hi
  • My previous call was F4FAZ and since i have taken up working on CW,i'am more than happy. It's a whole new world for me and i enjoy it very much
  • Now,after four years with my F8 callsign, the fun of operating on CW has not diminished.Virtually 95% of my time on radio is spent of using telegraphy. As a consequence my speed has increased!!!!!!hihiAs always, true to the spirit of amateur radio,NO SOFTWARE,SKIMMERS or GADGETS exist in my shackthe only tools i use for cw are my ears and fingers!!!!!.
  • The 4 els SteppIR give me lots of fun.
  • And i thank a lot TOM at ZEROFIVE antenna in Chicago who gave me the opportunity to work on the low bands (30m,40m and 80m )with this vertical.
  • QSL cards DIRECT are fine (NO IRC's or DOLLARS required ) or if you wish via BURO.
