My name is Ken.Married to my long suffering wife Linda for 35 years,she has to put up with me and my hobby.I have 3 children Tanya 34,Hayley 32 and my son Lee 31,who have no interest in amateur radio (which is good news really because I would never be able to play radio myself),and 4 grandchildren,Joe 11,Matt 10 and little Sophie Rose 3,now a new addision to the family Leila Francis (Dark One).18 months

Active on all bands 160 meters to 23 cmeters Particular interests are 80&40 Meters (all modes) and VHF-SHF. Enjoy DXing And rare country hunting and also antenna research. I will work all stations if they are 1 mile or 12,000 miles away, so if you hear me PLEASE CALL. Current projects are GAMMA MATCHED VERTICALS (my 60ft mast) for 80 & 160 Mtrs + K9AY receiving loops.Linear ampilfiers,currently working on 4 - 813's in GG.which will have a 60 Meter tap on the tank coil. I am also on 70 MHz(4 Meters).First licensed in 1984 (class b).Morse test in 1987 (class a).I have a 60 Meter NOV,running 100 Watts into an inverted V or an inverted L.

My station comprises Kenwood TS 2000X,Kenwood TS 950 SD,Yaesu FTDX401 old 70's valve transceiver,2 x 813's homebrew linear amplifier,4 x 813's homebrew linear amplifier, 2 x 4CX250b ampilfier all HF,2 x 4CX250b linear amplifier for VHF,under construction are 2 x 4CX250b amp for 6 Meters and 1 x 4CX250b for 4 Meters.Antennas at my station:- 2 element 6 band Quad 20-17-15-12-10-6,(the Quad will be a 9 band soon with the addition of 30-4 and 2 Meters), Inverted V's for 30 & 60 meters,1/4 wave verticals 40 & 80 meters,Inverted L 40,60,80 & 160 meters,5 element yagi for 6 meters,various other yagi's and verticals for 4,2,70cm & 23cm.

 

 

I am now the RSGB QSL sub-manager for the G0H** series,please when you send you envelopes,PLEASE PLEASE put YOUR CALLSIGN on them,it makes it so much easier to identify who's card they are for.
