I was licenced in October 1946 as G3ASG. Mostly use CW at about 12 to 14 wpm. Have operated as VK6ASG (November 2004 to February 2005 in Perth, Western Australia)and also as CT/G3ASG (December 2005 near Lagos). Use a low 80m dipole for 40m, 80m and 160m. For the higher frequencies I usually use indoor antennas in the attic. If you want to know what I was doing during WW2, you can find my story at this website address:

Qualified as a Chartered Engineer (now C.Eng., MIET) in 1955. Had over 30 years in Radio Engineering: Design and development of receivers and transmitters for military and professional use. Since retiring in 1985 my hobbies (apart from amateur radio, of course!) include writing technical articles for radio magazines, researching my family history (over 3000 people in my computer file) and travelling (when I can afford it!). Always interested to hear from other amateurs via my email address.
