Born in 1942 first licensed 1958 in Leicester very keen in 160m dx have worked WAC on 160. Had a 94 foot loaded vertical on that band in the 70's. Became interested in two meter repeaters in 70's and built GB3CF at Markfield. Was married to "LULU" G3WDA who used to work cw on 7mhz.

Now divorced don't have the 94ft vertical anymorei. built GB3PC a 2m repeater in Portsmouth, and maintained GB3SR and GB3BR. Had a stroke in 1989 and did not work for a while. I was a taxi driver then, but not working currently. I had a minor heart attack in March 2005 and another in May 2005 went into QA Hospital locally waited 8 weeks for quad heart bypass which I had in Southampton on July 1st 2005. Was home on July 15th with daily nursing care. update now 70 yrs old

Have moved home to ground floor flat with a 66ft tree in garden have a 66ft vertical for 80m in tree with small radials,

Have inverted L at 65ft between the trees in picture now 150ft of wire 90 ft between trees with 65ft vertical to L network at base of right tree.

Seems  better location BUT, lot of local noise from plasma tv and noisy switched mode power supplies

RADIO FT950 now and ACOM1000 amp ,

have fibre optic 63mhz broadband now
