First licensed 11th. December 1970. First QSO 19th. December 1970 on 160 metres using full AM. The rig comprised a home built all valve receiver and a home built all valve transmitter with a long wire aerial. The location of the station was Old Coulsdon at  the southern edge of Greater London. Shortly afterwards I operated from Swaythling, Southampton on 160m using full AM and also morse code. I stopped operating the station on 19th. March 1971. 

On 19th. March 2008 I came back on the air on 2 metres from Harmanswater, Bracknell. Now I operate on 2m and 70cm using low power narrow band FM with commercially manufactured transceivers.
