Hi, I normally operate HF Mobile with a Kenwood TS-480 Sat. Also JT65A from home. My mobile location is normally St Mary's Lighthouse, Whitley Bay IO95gb. English Lighthouse EN-145. The car park at the lighthouse is a quiet RF location. I also operate from home in Whitley Bay town centre, on 14 Mhz on ssb and cw, using an old TS-830s. The noise level at home is fairly high.Back on the air after many yearsfirst licensed in 1970 !! (in the days of valves and tubes), where I used to operate mainly on topband, 1.8 Mhz. My local D Star Repeater is GB7NE and I can get this on a handy talkie in the house. I am a Christian studying theology and religion for a University degree. My ham radio website is at http://www.g4azb.net 73 s and look forward to talking to you on HF. Steve St Mary's Lighthouse Reached between the tides via a short causeway, St Mary`s has all the fascination of a miniature, part-time island. The lighthouse, completed in 1898 remained operational until 1984 when it was replaced by modern navigational techniques. Since then the lighthouse and former keepers` cottages have been operated as a visitor centre. The surrounding nature reserve contains an area of rockpools, clifftop grassland, a beach and newly created wetland habitats.

Below St Mary's Lighthouse at midnight on the longest day. (Tide is In!)
My QSL Card (Lighthouse) 1. Via Buro. This is the cheapest and easiest method, but it can take time. I am sent my cards three times a year and there are other delays in the various QSL Buro's. I return all Buro cards 100 % and am a member of the RSGB. Please be patient with this method, it does work - but it does take time. 2. Direct. Please send your card and a SAE, or IRC'(s) if you are unsure of the return postage. I am a student and cannot therefore subsidise return postage. Cards are always welcome as I chasing DXCC as a Mobile. 3. E Methods. I am up to date on LOTW (now both set up for /M) and EQSL. Please note that I am usually /M so my call is normally G4AZB/M to get a match on LOTW and EQSL. QRZ does not easily deal with /M (See below), so please do not complain if my QRZ entries do not contain the /M suffix. I also upload my logs to Clublog and my own website for checking. Note re /M on QRZ.com - Mobile on qrz.com Hi Steve, I do not think that at the moment there is a way to separate your basic log from your mobile log. I trust that some day the Logbook will allow that but QRZ Owner AA7BQ has yet to address it. Software changes are required. You can add your mobile call as an alias call sign by editing your record. Call page/Detail/Edit Record/callsign-data/add alias. When someone looks up your mobile call it will take them to your primary call page 73, JOHN W1DQ Last modified: 2013-03-11 22:52:36, 3879 bytes fetched
