Besides Ham Radio I enjoy being a Freemason,currently a member of St.Dunstan's Lodge (7973) which meets in Glastonbury,Somerset.Still getting an adrenilin rush whilst riding my Honda Blackbird around the countryside,rode the bike to Friedrichshafen last year (2012),and hopefully same mode this year (2013),hotel in Bregenz,and the Channel Tunnel already booked.

This year I must remember to keep within the speed limits !!!!!

 

Equipment consists of :-

Elecraft K3 with Panadaptor.Hell of a combination and what a learning curve.

Icom 737A, a gift from JY1

Paddle is a V22,presented to me by G4DZW,sadly now SK (8Nov 2012)

Antennae :- Cushcraft A4S @ 46ft and A3WS @ 40ft.,that's me about 30ft up the tower.

Butternut HF9V for 80mts : 40mts : 30mts,with 30mts modification by G4DZW,no more blown capacitors !!!!!

Helical wound vertical for 80mts.

Centre loaded vertical for 160mts.

TL922 dictates I don't spend too much time in the pileups.
