OARC operated as GB2OL from The Chalet, near Kirkwall Lifeboat Station during the RNLI SOS week in January 2013, raising money for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) suggesting that the operators to make a donation for the privilege of operating for the last time from this site.

A special QSL card is available DIRECT ONLY until 31st May 2013 at the latest, from manager GM0WED, when there will be a run of cards printed and posted. To cover the cost of the card and the postage, please enclose a minimum of: $2 or and IRC + $1 or, UK only, SASE +$1, any surplus will go asyour donation to the RNLI.

Please no bureau or eQSL cards. Log uploaded to LoTW, eventually, after each GB2OL operation.

No cards for this operation after 2013/05/31. Deadlines for cards have to be adhered to, as we use the call sign for several different events each year.
