is a permanent special event call held by the QRZ Amateur Radio Group of Sussex.  Our club shack is  at the former home of the Royal Greenwich Observatory in East Sussex, which was on site between 1958 and 1990, before moving to Cambridge.

The site has 6 large telescope domes, complete with operational telescopes and is in the grounds of Herstmonceux Castle. The site is owned by Queen's University, Ontario, Canada and is their campus for International Studies. The observatory site is run as a Science Centre by Science Projects Ltd  ( www.the-observatory.org ).  It is open to the public and schools.  Our group regularly holds special events inside one of the telescope domes. demonstrating HF, VHF, data and satellite communications to visitors.  We also run a meteor detection station for their enjoyment.

We not only offer training courses for radio licences, but also on subjects related to satellites and radio astronomy. For details on these courses please contact us via qrzargos@gmail.com.  Also we are always looking for new members willing to help with our demonstrations.
