In 2009, The Worked All Britain Awards Group is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary. It was founded in 1969, by the late John Morris, G3ABG.

We are planning events thoughout the year and are issuing an award, culminating in a trophy to mark the occasion. This award is FREE to WAB members only. There is a charge for non-members.

GB40WAB will not be at a permanant location and may be used from any of the 7 UK countries.

GB40WAB is running for the entire year, other GB*WAB calls will also be on the air, along with our club calls of G4WAB and G7WAB, using the club identifier prefixes of GX, GC, GS, GN, GP, GT and GH.

Working these stations is an integral part of the award.

We do NOT require QSL cards to be sent to us, but all contacts made by GB40WAB will be QSL'd by us via the bureau.
