Special event callsign over the long weekend (50 HOURS) for this year's JAMBOREE ON THE AIR, 20th/21st October, 2007, + 2hours on 22nd October.

The Bittern DX Group will be operating from Roughton Mill, near Cromer, in Norfolk, the home of the 1st Rural Scout Group. JO02PV.

All bands 80m through 2m will be operational, and ssb, cw, rtty, psk-31, sstv, and fm will be used. HF will be 400W with 4 element yagi and dipoles, VHF will be 100W with yagi and colinear.

There is a possibility of 23cms and 13cms ATV being used.

We shall be setting up the station on 19th October, 2007, and standing down on 22nd October, but final timings have not yet been decided.

WE HOPE TO HAVE A QSL CARD DESIGN SUBMITTED BY A SCOUT, CUB, BROWNIE, GUIDE, ETC SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING A DESIGN PLEASE DO SO TO M0CNP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. JUST SEND YOUR FRONT OF CARD DESIGN, TO INCLUDE PICTURE OR GRAPHIC, CALLSIGN (GB50RFR), JAMBOREE ON THE AIR 2007, RADIO SCOUTING LOGO, RSGB LOGO, AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF....BUT BEWARE OF PUTTING TOO MUCH ON AS THE DESIGN COULD LOOK CLUTTERED.
