Just a bit about myself.

I became interested in radio in my early teens when I built my first receiver. This receiver enabled me to pick up local shipping broadcasts and radio amateurs, all on am! I was hooked, so much so that I decided to make a career in radio communication. I became a radio and electronics officer in the merchant navy. After ten years at sea I came ashore to begin a career in broadcast transmitter engineering. After 30 years in this industry I have decided to retire and look at other opportunities.

My amateur radio activity is mainly on HF CW, and occasonally some data modes.

Main equipment is a Kenwood TS870S. I also have a Yaesu FT897 which is mainly for the VHF bands.

Antennas are generally homemade wires of one sort or another.

QSL via bureau or direct.

I look forward to meeting you on the air.

73, Brian
