Station.

Optibeam OB9-5 up 14M, 40M rotary dipole for 40M and wire dipole for 80. IC-7600 and a Acom-1000. Does everything I need.

MixW is my preferred application for all modes and activities. FLDigi comes a close second, I keep playing with it back and forth, one to keep a watch on.

QSL Routes (same for GM1BSG, GA1BSG, GM1C)

LoTW. This is seriously my number 1 preferred option, cards are a very expensive option these days.

- Please save your money and time and consider using LoTW

OQRS. Fast becoming very popular. Please visit CLUBLOG and check if you are in the log and can order a card. If you cannot find your QSO on Clublog (for GM1BSG, GA1BSG or GM1C) then please just email me.

- If you order card via OQRS I normally post them within a day or so. Any surplus funds are donated to charity.

Direct - You are of course welcome to QSL direct if you really really really really, cannot live without the hassle, must do direct. BUT and I mean a big BUT, is you really should check you are in the log first (visit ClubLog). Then consider the time and effort for you to fill out a card, address the envelope, post it to me, cover my expenses for the return trip and so on. You would be cheaper just using OQRS to receive a card. Although I do like the personal touch of a card, I do not collect them myself. Any requests received with insufficient return costs, without a SAE with a PRINTED address, or contacts already confirmed by LoTW will simply not be answered.

Bureau - Please DO NOT send me cards via bureau

Operating

I prefer RTTY most of the time and BPSK63 a close second. CW at a push, voice is a rare thing indeed.

I do not chase awards, but I do like a fast pace to the QSO's but I am more than happy to slow down for a bit of chat.

That includes contests ! I love contesting but it is not life itself, you want to exchange more than 599 and a number, sure, no worries.

Contesting wise I love RTTY/PSK contesting and have done reasonably well these past few years managing some respectable scores.

One thing I really do get upset about though is folks just calling, calling, calling over each other and giving me no chance to answer.

I can work you guys a lot quicker if you would listen more and call less.

Unlike voice you simply cannot get a good decode from multiple stations occupying the same spot all at once. If you keep calling once too often I will simply ignore you and keep calling CQ.

If you come by my QRZ page please feel free to leave me a message via the Web Contact tab, its always nice to know someone has visited.
