Click for more detail... Don Aitchison (G3BSA), was the co-founder and President of the West Manchester Radio club. Don served in Bomber Command during WWII, and also served the Admiralty in communications. Sadly, he passed away in April 2008, and at the express wish of his family his callsign was adopted by the club he loved with the approval of OFCOM, the licencing authority, so that it may live on. The original G3BSA was issued in 1947. Our other club callsigns are G3BSA, G4MWC and GX4MWC. Our Special events officer, Andy (M1VIP), took the picture of our club, and the tri-band beam, from a light aircraft.
