Hungarian amateur radio stations are allowed to use special prefix "HA50" from 1st October until 31st December 2006 for 50-year anniversary of 1956-year Revolution and Freedom Fight of Hungary.

There is an AWARD issued in memory of this event:

In order to receive the Award, participants must contact 25 different Hungarian radioamateur stations – among them the callsigns of 5 stations must begin with HA50… or HG50… Contacts made with the same station in a different mode or on a different band are acceptable. All licensed bands and modes are available for use, but only direct contacts between two radioamateur stations count. Contacts made by utilizing digital repeaters and/or other non-direct communication modes do not count.

The price of the award: 5 Euros, or $7, or 10 IRCs

A special QSL card is available for the contacts made with "HA50"-prefixed Hungarian amateur radio stations.

HA508KW is automatically QSLs via the bureau but if you request a direct card PSE do not forget to include a SAE and return postage fee (1 IRC, 1 EURO or 2 USD at the moment). Any direct request without sufficient return postage fee will be replied via the bureau.
