ASSOCIAZIONE RADIOAMATORI ITALIANI

Venne il giorno fatidico il 7 Marzo 1963, alla presenza delle piu' alte cariche nazionali;

I2FA, Roberto Sesia, Presidente nazionale A.R.I.

I1ZCT, Sergio Pesce, Segretario nazionale A.R.I.

The History of ARI Tortona

It was a cold winter evening in 1962, Angelo I1FFK and me were returning from ARI Alessandria, on the road there was a thin layer of ice.
I was driving my Fiat 600 imitating the most famous Formula One driver and proceeded at speed of twenty kilometers with the hope of arriving at Tortona without damage.
At this point I was spontaneous to tell to Angelo these words: "Why do not we have a section in Tortona?" Angelo looked at me puzzled and said nothing.
The answer came a few days later: "If we want, we can!", contacted by letter, telephone or in person all OM, names of listening and supporters of Tortona, at this point we realized that we were in agreement on what wanted to do.
Then came the fateful day, March 7, 1963, in the presence of the highest national authority
I2FA, Roberto Sesia, National President A.R.I.
I1ZCT, Sergio Pesce, National Secretary A.R.I.
and others I can not remember the names we inaugurated the ARI Tortona.-

After all these years with the help of all, the founders and later, to keep alive and active in our Section a right memory and heartfelt thanks go especially to those who are no longer with us and the present leaders wishes for a fruitful work for years to come.
