Ham Member Lookups: 29981

Welcome and hi to all of you! Thanks for having a look of my webpage!

Born in 1950, retired, and ham since 2007. ARI & ARRL member.

I like very much DXing in SSB or digital mode, mainly PSK31 and RTTY, and time to time to take part of contest.

My station is composed by a nice IC7400, and a wounderful FT817-ND joined to one autotuner LDG Z-817.

Max power 100W.

Antenna system is composed by a vertical multiband antenna ECO7+ and Moxon rectangules.

Moxon antenna are two: one for 20mt band and new one for 10mt band, ( 15mt band was removed to test 10mt band Moxon), selected by a MFJ-4712 switch.

Both the antennas, Eco7+ and Moxon rectangules, are installed on the roof terrace, 25 mts above the ground and 360 degrees open space.

A small TV rotator moves the Moxon rectangules.

FT-817, joined to a LDG Z-817, gives me a lot of satisfaction!

It is wounderful to go on air with it, connected to a  Moxon antenna, to call dx stations with "IZ2JPN QRP STATION", and several time to get answer!!!

This is the latest version of my "tremendous station" hi hi!

Award QRP DXCC reachedsmileysmileysmiley!!!!

I would like to thank all OM and DX expeditions who, till now, kindly replayed to my QSL, and (of course!) all the OM who are replaying and will replay in future.

Award has been reached in mixed mode, exclusively using my FT817, equipped with YF-122CN CW narrow filter, that is essential also to reduce screen saturation in digimode.

For SSB contact a special thank must be payed to the fantastic microphone designed by Oliver DH8BQA that avoid to me to lose the voice! Please visit his website.

QRP 5W is fascinating, try to do it with patience, constancy, and with good conditions of propagation, you will see the results!!

I started to work only QRP on January 2012, here some DX.

QRB ( direct path): 19511 km

QRB (long path,SFI 162, A 19 K 2; see RST: 51!) : 21365 km

QRB (direct path) : 12069 km

QRB (direct path) : 11192 km

QRB ( direct path) : 7776 km

QRB (direct path) : 10559 km

QRB ( direct path) : 13398 km

It seems that 5W are enough to reach, with good conditions, all parts of the world!

DXCC entities worked QRP (Mixed mode) : 246

DXCC entities confirmed QRP (Mixed mode) : 199

CQ Zones confirmed : 40

If you heard me on air, please call, you will be welcome.Grazie

All the best to all of you and 73!
