QSL for J7Y in ARRL DX SSB 2009, 2010, 2011and 2012 via K1LI. Logs have been uploaded to ARRL LotW and to eQSL.cc. Due to the large number of other acitivites I enjoy during these holiday expeditions, I have made very few contacts outside of the contests. I will not accept or return W/VE cards via the QSL bureau. As always: No SASE, No QSL.
Thanks to all who send a green stamp with their card and SASE. If you choose to offer this consideration, please put the GS into the SASE to discourage unauthorized attempts to fish it out of the envelope. Based on the condition of the mail I am receiving lately, these attempts are on the rise.
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Dominica as a vacation destination. A small, independent island nation situated in the Caribbean Sea between Guadeloupe and Martinique, Dominica's still-thriving local culture does not yet suffer from overdevelopment by holiday resorts and vacation homes. Once you've seen the "first layer" of attractions frequented by day trippers from visiting cruise ships, you will discover an immense number of hidden treasures - spectacular vistas, secluded beaches and dramatic waterfalls fed by deliciously clear mountain streams. Top it all off with some gorgeous SCUBA diving and the newly-minted Waitukubuli Trail that spans Dominica from end to end and you have my idea of a truly engaging adventure. The Bradt Travel Guide to Dominica written by Paul Craskis a great way to plan your visit to the Nature Island of the Caribbean.
I appreciate all the nice comments I've received on the QSL card itself. I have been surprised at the number of requests for the card from those who already have an LotW and/or eQSL confirmation. It's nice to know the age of the paper card has not yet passed. The photos on the J7Y QSL card were all taken with a "point and shoot" digital camera during these excursions. Clockwise from top left:
