Thanks for looking me up on QRZ. Usually this means we have had a successful QSO or contact on the bands. Please note that I will confirm QSO’S by direct QSL, SASE only, at this time.

I was recently licensed in November of 2011, and issued the call of KD0PYZ, which I then changed to my current vanity callsign.



My Dad is K0SIX, and my primary operating location will be at his QTH located in Big Lake, Minnesota, approximately 35 miles (50 kilometers) NW of the Minneapolis / St. Paul area.

HF – Elecraft K3 with Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier; Double Bazooka’s for 20, 40 and 80; H- Double Bay for 12 and 15 meters H -Double Bay and a I-Max 2000 for 10 meters.

VHF/UHF
50 MHZ – Elecraft K3 / Elecraft KPA500 Amplifier, (stand bye amp is a “King Conversion” modified Heathkit SB-221) / (2) M2 6M5X’s stacked .
144 MHZ – Elecraft K3 with K144XV Two meter transverter / Mirage B2518G / Henry 6N2 / (2) M2 2M5WL’s stacked.
222 MHZ – Elecraft K3 with XV222 Transverter / Mirage C2512G / M2 2225WL
432 MHZ – Elecraft K3 with XV432 Transverter / Mirage D3010N / (2) M2 4329WL’s stacked.


50mhz thru 432mhz are all on a Rohn HDBX48 with 24’ of ½” wall mast, top at 65’ above ground.
