I operated as W0F Aug 23 and 24, 2014 in the Kansas QSO Party. The first day's operation was with Boy Scout Troop 91 at our camp in MIAMI county, KS. Operation the 2nd day took place from my home QTH in Johnson County.

See ksqsoparty.org for details.
For this operation, please QSL to my home address (or, for non-US stations, via bureau, attention K0VBU.) Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with direct requests if you expect a card.

Thanks for all the contacts!

I was first licensed in 1959 as KN0VBU in Kansas City, MO. I have been a ham for more than 55 years, and I enjoy contesting, DXing and ragchewing.

My mode of choice is CW, and my favorite contest is the November CW Sweepstakes. I do my best to participate in the other major contests, as well as the bi-weekly CWops hour-long tests (At least the 0300z running.)

My current rig is an Elecraft K3/100 with the P3 Panadaptor, and my antennas are a TH6DXX tribander at 50' and a home-brew trap dipole for 80m/40m at 30 feet.  I rarely use my old Drake L4B amp.

Ham Radio Deluxe is my everyday logging program, and I use N1MM Logger for contesting.

You may QSL direct (sase, please) or via the bureau. I've also begun uploading logs to LOTW.

I serve as vice-president of the Kansas City DX Club, and also as the club's webmaster. Check out our website at: www.kcdxclub.com.

I am also president of the Kansas City Contest club. Website pending!

K0VBU.com is my personal blog website. I hope to keep it fresh, althugh time constraints and other activities seem to limit my updates.

See you on the bands - for a quick contest qso, or a nice longer ragchew!
