I first licensed in Aug, 1957 as KN1DAT. My father [W1LHM(sk)] encouraged me to get my license and share his station which was in my bedroom. He was very active on Six meter AM and I became very active on Six meters and VHF contests.

I operate CW most of the time but also try other modes and contests.

I also operate as K1DAT/1 from Sagamore Beach, MA, which is in Barnstable County, Grid Square FN41rt overlooking Cape Cod Bay.
