I was first licensed in 1956 as a novice KN2QPN. I also received a technician class ticket and became K2QPN. I was very active on 6 and 2 meters CW/AM/SSB/FM. I was an active member of West Jersey Radio Amateurs and Burlington County, NJ RACES until 1963. I served in the Army Security Agency from 1963 to 1967 and had little chance to operate. In 1968 I upgraded to advanced class. I worked some HF CW and mainly VHF. I remained active until 1975 when the pressures of career and family forced me into inactivity. I returned to the air in February 2003 and have been very active on HF CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK31. In March 2005 I upgraded to Extra Class. I enjoy casual contesting and chasing DX. Today my rigs are an IC-756ProIII/TL-922A and an IC-7000/SB-220. Antennas are a Broadband Hexx Beam, vertical,  inverted L and a 260' windom. I also have an FT-857, an FT-7800 and an FT-2800 for mobile and portable operation. I have attained QRP WAC, QRP DXCC, and the MPW award. I use a KX3, PRF-3 and an ATS4 for QRP. I am active in the Burlington County Radio Club and the Frankford Radio Club. I am a member of Burlington County RACES/ARES and an ARRL Volunteer Examiner. I am an ARRL Life Member. I have been a league member for over 50 years.

I retired from IBM after 37 years as a computer network specialist. After IBM, I did some part time consulting. Today, I am fully retired.
