The Sinners Prayer
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to you that i am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten son Jesus Christ shed his precious blood on the cross at calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sins.
Romans 10:9 says that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in out hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead that we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
Thank you Jesus for saving my life and my soul.

Name here is Doug. Qth is just outside of Charleston, SC in a little town called Moncks Corner.
Got started in radio at the age of 14 when my mom got me my first cb base station. Back then I knew very very little about ham Radio. Got my ham ticket at the age of 27 in 2005. Upgraded to general with code then earned my extra class ticket in 2007. Never knew just how much more enjoyable ham was over citizen band until 2005. Now im dxing every chance i get.
Love chasing dx. You can hear me on ssb most of the time on 20-10 meters or on the waterfall on 20m PSK31 or RTTY. I try to do some cw but my skills aren't what they used to be when i first upgraded. You can also see me sending out some pictures on 14.230 every once in a while.
Getting more into contesting too.
Communications is a big part of my life, so much that I became a 911 emergency operator for Fire, Police, and EMS for the county that I live in. I dispatch 27 different fire departments, 8 EMS units and 5 different police departments. Size wise Berkeley County is the largest county in SC however it is not the most populated. I also work part time as a Deer processor.
I am an outdoorsmen. I have learned over the years of how to live off the land. I hunt and fish often. All of my wild game taken is used to feed my family. Most of my wild game seeking is for: Deer, Rabbit, Squirrel, and game birds.
