My Dad...Bill, K5KKO.  Licensed in 1961, and spent a majority of his ham radio fun time at the Sun City Amateur Radio Club K5WPH in El Paso, Tx for better than 30 years.  He was very active in local Hamfiesta events, as you can see. He really enjoyed packet and even now his call can still be seen on packet screens throughout the southwest on 145.01 under EPDIG. Also on 145.27 Benson Ridge, NM  IRLP linked repeater and 147.32 Tobin Park repeater in N.E. El Paso.
