On August 8th, 2007 several amateur radio operaters met and came up with a group charter. We don't really consider ourselves a club but more of a group. We are just a bunch of active amateur radio operators (hams) here in the Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma area with varying interests that like to have fun in this hobby. Most of us are very "laid back" and "easy going" people that just want to have fun with ham radio without the formality and complications that can sometimes come from a "club". Although all of us would gladly step up to the plate in an actual emergency, our primary goal and purpose is to just have fun with our hobby of ham radio. !! We have adopted the basis of our group on the fact that Ham radio for us is a HOBBY. We stay active in ham radio. We try to help each other and try to promote Amateur radio in the area. There are no dues, fees, or boring meetings to attend. We may have a get together at times, like campouts, cookouts, field days or just to eat and talk...Everyone is welcome at anytime!!
