ALL QSL REQUESTS FOR K7UGA GO TO:  K 7 B H M  -  1623 N. Los Altos Ct., Chandler, AZ  85224-8357.  An SASE is greatly appreciated.

The Central Arizona DX Association is very pleased to announce a Special Event Operation for the 2012 Arizona Centennial Celebration over the entire week of February 13 - 19, 2012.  Several of our members will be operating their radio stations from their homes using the call  -  K 7 U G A  -  which was the call of our late Senior Senator from Arizona, Barry M. Goldwater.  After the Senator's death in 1998, the CADXA petitioned the FCC and the ARRL, and through his family agreement obtained his call letters in 2001, for exclusive use by CADXA.

On February 14th, the State of Arizona Centennial date, CADXA is planning special operations from Prescott, Tucson and Phoenix.  These three cities represent the Arizona State capitals from Arizona Territorial status through 100 years of Statehood. (Prescott in 1862, Tucson in 1876, and Phoenix since 1899).  In the Phoenix area we will be operating two battery-powered stations from the Barry Goldwater Memorial site, in Paradise Valley.

Our Special Event Radio Operation has been sanctioned by the 2012 Arizona Centennial Foundation as an "OFFICIAL EVENT", and by the Arizona Historical Advisory Commission as an "OFFICIAL LEGACY PROJECT".
