This is a 100 watt portable station in the western US, usually from the National Forests or deserts. It has a 400Ah battery bank powered by two 75W solar panels. The rig is an Icom 7000. On the bands 20-6 meters I may use a portable Hexbeam. In the desert I'll use a 40 meter ground mounted vertical with 2000' of radial wire. If I'm camped around tall trees I'll utilize dublets, half-squares or various dipole arrays. I generally don't QSL but will respond by mail to anyone needing my qso for credit.
