I was born in 1932 and became facinated with radio communications as a young lad. When I joined the Air Force I was exposed to and operated a MARS station and that got me hooked. A wonderful man W7FL gave me the interest to study and I got my license in August of 1955. My original call was W7AZO.

I got K8BTH in 1956 when I returned to Michigan. In 1977 I started chasing DX and that is my first love in amateur radio. I was a Top Of Honor Roll until the new 5 were added....I'll be back! I have operated as FP0TH and FP0FXP on two trips to St. Pierre et Miquelon.

I enjoy Skywarn operations and helping out in public service events. We Moved from Michigan to Georgia at the end of 2000. I am currently EC of White County in Georgia. I also trustee of the Gateway Amateur Radio Club ARES Station W4WCE. I have taught Novice/Technician Classes for some twenty years.

My bride Jerri is also licensed. Her call is N8UEH.

Pet peeve: People who say they are monitoring on 2 meters. The Repeater Directory is wrong. Look up monitoring....its says nothing about wanting to communicate....check it out!
