Originally licensed in 1993, as a No-Code Technician. I passed the General upgrade this Spring 2012 and worked HF for the first time on Field Day 2012. I passed my extra 12/8/2012. I am a Livonia Amateur Radio Club Member.

My shack is operating an Icom 746 powered by a 12v Deep Cycle with a battery tender (still trying to find a good deal on a power supply). Antenna is a ground mounted 33' GAP Challenger DX.

I love the outdoors - camping, hunting, fishing, offroading, SCUBA diving. I'll try anything once.

My Elmers have been Ian Scott - N8SPE, Mike Ettenhoffer - WB8VDC and Dan Saputo - K8PLW.

My mobile rig - a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, I'm running a Yaesu FT-8900R with a Diamond CR8900A antenna out an NMO mount on the roof. It's not pictured here, as the trees would have ripped it out.
