Originally licensed in 1993, as a No-Code Technician. I passed the General upgrade spring 2012 and worked HF for the first time on Field Day 2012. I passed my extra 12/8/2012. I am currently standing as the vice president of the Livonia Amateur Radio Club (K8UNS). http://livoniaarc.com is the address for the club.

My shack is operating an Icom 746 powered by an Astron RS-35. Antenna is a ground mounted 33' GAP Challenger DX. Usually running barefoot, but also have an Ameritron AL-572 Amplifier and a Dentron MT-3000 tuner at the standby.

The gap is relocated to the hunting cabin. Tower project in the works including :

My favorite project was the K8UNS Balloon Launch June 10th, 2014. Check out the details at http://k8uns.org/high-altitude-balloon-project
