Click for more detail... KN9PXV was my intial FCC license granted in 1958 as a novice. In 1959 I upgraded to general and was issued the callsign of K9PXV. 1963 I graduated from college and did not operate from that time on thus my license expired. 1992 I entered the hobby again and today enjoy the callsign of W8EB. I operate from St. Maarten each year in the ARRL DX Phone Contest as PJ7B ( www.qsl.net/pj7b ) and thought it would be a good idea to form a DX club for the greater Michigan area. Once the club was formed I applied for a vanity callsign for the club and was granted my old callsign of K9PXV. The old QSL card shows my call and my dad's callsign of K9PXU. He became a silent key in 2008. The club supports the 300 Club and issues a very nice certificate for confirming 300 or more countries. Visit the K9PXV website ( www.qsl.net/k9pxv ) for a look at the certificate and the application form. Good luck with your DXing activities. 73, Bil W8EB / K9PXV / PJ7B Last modified: Fri Jan 16 09:27:21 2009 Does this page contain inappropriate content? If so, Report this page... |
