QSL image for K9RHY

The callsign area picture was put together from a current shack photo and a picture of the antenna that has just been re-erected. The yagi is a Hy-Gain 204-BAS at 70 feet. The picture below is yours truly on the Great Wall outside Beijing.

I've been active on the HF bands, primarily 20 meter CW, but earning 5BDXCC in 1990 and 5BWAZ in 1991. My current passion is chasing IOTA counters and am collecting cards for the 750 island award. I made the #1 DXCC Honor Roll spot on Mixed, Phone and CW in 1993 but lost the #1 slot because of P5. I am a past member, officer and director of the Northern Illinois DX Association and was a member of the MileHi DX Club in Denver. I was recently honored as a lifetime menber of the San Diego DX Club. Currently residing on Lake Loudon, a TVA-created lake in Knoxville, TN, I am a member of the East Tennessee DX Association. I’ve had the opportunity to travel a bit with about 2 million "butt in the seat" Star Alliance/United miles. My XYL and I lived abroad, and I held the German call DA2FR for 3 years. I operated as TA2FR from Turkey, China (BY1QH), Macao (while still XX9), Hong Kong, Israel, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, East and West Malaysia (from the island of Borneo), Thailand, all over Europe, the Caribbean and lots of other spots. I've retired from my job as a computer storage sales executive, but am still active an a "Cloud Storage" startup. I'm still learning the" ins and outs" of propagation from East TN and looking forward to using the tower to hold an inverted L for 160. Very 73 Bob-K9RHY
