First licensed in 1979, and am active on most bands and modes. Especially like cw and rtty, but dabble in most others. Like to dx on hf as well as vhf/uhf and operate mobile on all bands. Enjoy computer control of my station and am an active cluster user. Lost my xyl in 2007 so amateur radio is a big part of my life and a great source of pleasure and companionship for me. I live on the border of Michigan and Wisconsin in a very rural area and the area is very electrically quiet which enables me to hear a lot and experiment with antennas without interference both electrical and verbal (hi hi).
