Thanks for stopping by,  I'm KB1QDC Kevin "KC" and I first got licensed Mar 20,2008 and became a Technician Class. Bought my first radio a Yaesu VX7-R handheld, and immediately started to do special events for our local community in Windham County Ct.  I am a very active Ham, my other great passion is an avid motorcyclist (Harley 1200XL  pictured). I log about 6-,7000 miles per season.  I belong to the Eastern Conn Amateur Radio Assoc(E.C.A.R.A) and hang out on 147.225 K1MUJ repeater pl 156.7.  I can also be heard on Scit  RI 146,760 as well as other local repeaters.   I have since upgraded to General Class as of Mar 15, 2009 and I have the HF/DX bug,  I will also try my hand at CW Morse code.  My second purchase was a Yaesu 2800M for a base 2 meter rig in biker bar/ham shack in the basement.  I have an Icom 706MIIG on loan till I buy my next rig.

My wife and partner of 21 years, just got her license Mar 26,2009 Tech Class she is KB1SBD  Kerry and is slowly catching the bug, has hinted to eventually getting her upgrade as well....so if you hear her on the air please come back to her and give her encouragement!  Watch out guys she off to being an awesome operator and will likely kick all our butts!!   We are both proud parents of our daughter Alyssa,  I hope one day she might get at least her Tech. Currently she is a Senior in High School.   Besides our daughter we're proud owners of Bridgette our family dog she's ten and like our second child.   Please QSL Direct SASE I will reciprocate right away!
