Recently upgraded to General Class license in June 2010, but was a technician class licensee since October 2000.  Modified license from KC8PMX with vanity call KB8RCR in September 2010.

Active in NTS activities as well as ARES/RACES activities.  Feel free to send me a message through the NTS if you want.  Always welcome those messages.

Have become very active with the "Century Club" nets and also a member of the OMISS nets (#7325).

Current station at home is an Icom IC-7000 and G5RV antenna with a LDG IT-100 tuner.  Also the Yaesu FT-8900R which is coming out of my car will be in the house and replacing the Icom IC-207H which will go out to my garage as a secondary station.  Currently have (2) Yaesu FTM-350's going into the car and pick-up, which will leave me with a Yaesu FT-1900, Icom V8000, Motorola Maxtrac, and RCI 5054DX as spare radios.

(update 12/27/2010)

Have recently picked up a Yaesu FT-450AT, along with another G5RV that will be orientated North/South as compared to the first one which is orientated East/West.  Also picked up a 160 Meter Double Bazooka, and a 6 meter Double Bazooka, and also put up a 6 meter "Hamstick" dipole.   Looking at a tower this week and should be putting that up in the spring.  Am looking for another decent VHF/UHF antenna with some high gain once the tower is up.

Am contemplating an amplifier, but have not settled down on which one yet, but hope to finalize that purchase some time in January.

This fall and this winter, I plan to build the following:

6m/10m fan-type dipole (G5RV doesn't do well on those two)

Several J-poles, different bands. (if not for anything else but the experience of doing so)

Single band dipoles for all the different ham bands (same reason as for the j-poles, the experience)

Play around with building some other types of antennas such as the Moxon, Squalo, and several others just to see if I can do it, and make them actually work.

Now when you read that list, they are not ALL going up in the air, but quite a few might.  Life would be better with some tower though, and actively looking for one.
