I have been a licensed amateur now since January of 2006 with a technician class license. I operate primarily mobile and sometimes with the HT at home. My current housing situation prevents me somewhat from expanding this to more base operations since I rent and can’t really put up an antenna outside so oh well. I have the radio on scan most of the time so I may be on a number of different repeaters in the area. But the WD0HWT machine is where I usually end up on the most. I enjoy their nets.

I currently have a Yaesu FT-8800R that I operate in my car. I also have a Kenwood TH-F6A HT that I use in the house sometimes. But being inside and with relatively low power limits me a fair amount. I have two dual band antennas that I swap from time to time on the car depending on height restrictions if I go to a parking ramp. I also have a scanner antenna on the car as well. I enjoy monitoring police and fire and whatever else I can hear. For the scanning I have a Uniden BCD396T and a Radio Shack Pro96.

In my life I attended Michigan Technological University for Mechanical Engineering which I graduated spring 2005. I am heavily into auto racing. I like to go to as many races as I can and I also help my friend by crewing on his Late Model. I also enjoy photography. When I can mix all three of my interests, racing, radio, and photography life is great!
